Students in ELA / Reading classes with Ms. Simmons and Ms. Householder and students in Agriculture classes with Ms. Hargis participated in a Three 3's in a Row activity that involved them collaborating with peers, moving around the room, and summarizing information.
Bus 2018 was involved in a minor fender bender this morning and will arrive late to school. All students are safe and there were no injuries. Please call the school if you have any questions or concerns.

6th Grade students in Ms. Wagoner's Science classes developed models to describe the relationship between atoms and subatomic particles. Students developed their models using candies like M&Ms, Skittles, and Smarties.

Students in Ms. Wagoner's 6th Grade Science classes visited the ocean today using VR to see underwater ecosystems. Students enjoyed the 360 experience and being able to go somewhere they have not been before.

HFMS Families: This is a reminder that tomorrow (October 25) is our Homecoming Dance. Tickets are $10 at the door. The dance is from 3 to 4:45 p.m. Please ensure you have a ride to the school no later than 4:45 p.m.

JCS Families: We anticipate transportation delays across the county due to law enforcement shutting down a portion of 340 due to a hazardous materials spill. WHS, HFMS, CWS, and BRC will be most impacted.

Students in Ms. Kittelstad's 6th Grade ELA classes completed a gallery walk investigation on pictures from their new unit Mysteries and Investigations. Students used the pictures to figure out what the new unit is about.

HFMS Families: Yearbook sales have begun! You can purchase your students yearbook at yearbookordercenter.com or by calling 1-866-287-3096 and using order number 14832. You may also submit payment via check to Harpers Ferry Middle School and return the blue form sent home with your student. Orders that are turned in by October 11th will be discounted to $28 per yearbook.
