📣💃 Calling all JCS K-8th graders: this is your chance to dance with Jefferson High School's Charisma dance team! Charisma is hosting its first-ever Minis Clinic for K-8th graders—no dance experience needed! The clinic will be held on Sunday, January 12 from 2-5 PM at JHS, and all participants will get the chance to perform with Charisma during a girls' varsity basketball halftime show. JCS will operate on a 2-hour delay on Monday, December 16, 2024. JCS staff will continue monitoring the weather and road conditions through the evening and into the morning. Any change will be communicated by 6:30 am.

Students in ELA / Reading classes with Ms. Simmons and Ms. Householder and students in Agriculture classes with Ms. Hargis participated in a Three 3's in a Row activity that involved them collaborating with peers, moving around the room, and summarizing information.

Bus 2018 was involved in a minor fender bender this morning and will arrive late to school. All students are safe and there were no injuries. Please call the school if you have any questions or concerns.

6th Grade students in Ms. Wagoner's Science classes developed models to describe the relationship between atoms and subatomic particles. Students developed their models using candies like M&Ms, Skittles, and Smarties.

- Tuesday, Oct. 29: Rhyme Without Reason Day - Dress up as things that rhyme with your friends (example: Barbie & Army or Wild West & Best Dressed)
- Wednesday, Oct. 30: Workout Wednesday - Dress for a workout
- Thursday, Oct. 31: Band Shirt Day - Wear your favorite band's shirt
- Friday, Nov. 1: Soccer Moms and BBQ Dads - wear messy buns and comfortable clothes, jorts and sneakers, etc.
Students in Ms. Wagoner's 6th Grade Science classes visited the ocean today using VR to see underwater ecosystems. Students enjoyed the 360 experience and being able to go somewhere they have not been before.

HFMS Families: This is a reminder that tomorrow (October 25) is our Homecoming Dance. Tickets are $10 at the door. The dance is from 3 to 4:45 p.m. Please ensure you have a ride to the school no later than 4:45 p.m.
Reminder for HFMS families: Tonight (10/22) is Parent-Teacher Conference Night from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at HFMS. Join us for an opportunity to meet with you child's teachers and discuss their progress. We hope to see you there!
